Sequencing Numbers!

Oy vey!

We have been hard at work trying to implement Eureka Math in the classroom in order to keep pace with general education but BOY is it a headache. It is nice having a curriculum to follow but poses numerous challenges as each lesson incorporates a plethora of skills students have to grapple with leading to moments of accomplishment – as well as – moments of frustration (both students and myself alike!)

One nice thing I will say is it really brings forth spiked skills students are struggling with which I may not have noticed otherwise and it allows me to take this information and utilize it in a meaningful way! From which, I give you:

Slide01

Super Sequencing!

Each set includes Task Cards, File Folder, and Worksheets to complete in 3 different levels.

  • Numbers 1-10
  • Numbers 1-20
  • Numbers 1-100

I found my students were having trouble figuring out the missing number in a sequence in various locations. We work hard on counting on as that is a CCSS but having the conceptual knowledge of before and after numbers sometimes poses a challenge, especially when attempting to answer for speed without a 100s chart or number line to consult!

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Happy Teaching,

Mr. OB
